Celina’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day tradition is back, and this year we’re making it bigger than ever! We’re once again teaming up with the Celina Runners Club to bring you the BEER MILE – PENGUIN STYLE! This is your chance to prove your athleticism (or your drinking stamina) in one of the rowdiest races in town.

What’s a Beer Mile? 🍻🏃

A four-lap race (1 mile total) where each leg begins with drinking a 12oz GREEN BEER before hitting the course. Here's how it works:

1️⃣ Horn sounds – first runner drinks their beer before starting their quarter-mile lap.
2️⃣ Tag your teammate (or keep going solo) – the next beer is downed, and the next lap begins.
3️⃣ Repeat until all four beers & all four laps are complete.
4️⃣ Finish strong and claim your victory – or just your pride!

Team Categories:

👟 RUNNERS ARE THE DRINKERS – Up to 4 people per team, each runner drinks their own beer.
🍺 RUNNERS + DRINKERS – Each runner has a designated drinker (team of 2-8 people).
🏅 INDIVIDUALS – Solo warriors take on the challenge of running AND drinking all four laps.

How to Register:

💰 Pre-register by Friday for $25/team or individual (includes 4 Green Beers).
💰 Day-of registration: $30/team or individual (Registration starts at 12:30 PM).

Race Details:

🚦 2:00 PM Race Start!
✔ Drink Beer #1 – Run to Louisiana & back.
✔ Drink Beer #2 – Next runner (or you again) takes off.
✔ Drink Beer #3 – Another lap, another beer.
✔ Drink Beer #4 – Final lap, finish strong!

🏆 Awards for:
🥇 Fastest team & individual in each category.
🎭 Best costume – Bring the Irish spirit!
🤢 Penalty Lap if you vomit before finishing (good luck with that).

🚨 Must be 21+ to participate.

LEGAL STUFF (Don’t be an idiot): Little Wooden Penguin & Celina Runners Club do NOT encourage irresponsible behavior. If you’re underage, unfit, or reckless – DO NOT SIGN UP. You’re responsible for your own actions, and if you break something (including yourself), it’s on you. Green water is an acceptable beer alternative if you want to play along sans alcohol.
