Join us for a fun-filled evening of activities, games, and icebreakers designed specifically to help you meet your future MMF (Mom Friend Forever.) Connect with other moms who are also looking for friendship, support, and someone to share those mom wins and struggles with. You never know, your new MMF could be just a conversation away! Speed Dating for Mom Friends is just what it sounds like. An event for mamas of all stripes to get matched up with their next new BFF! 

With so many new families moving into this area, LWP Owner Katie Dunn wants to host an event that would help you meet some new momma besties, while also just giving us all a chance to have a great time!

WHEN IS THIS EVENT HAPPENING? 

Tuesday, April 4th - 5:30pm - 8:30pm 

WHAT WILL THE EVENT BE LIKE? 

If you haven’t been to a speed dating event, this will be our own spin on it for friendships.

You’ll be seated at tables, sitting across from another mom. Each “date” will give you 4 minutes to connect one-on-one. This gives you time to introduce yourself and play a little Q&A game. At the end of the time, one mom will move over one seat and the process starts again.

At the end of the night, you’ll leave meeting a ton of new moms!

WHERE IS IT? 

Little Wooden Penguin in downtown Celina, TX will be hosting the event at 212 N Oklahoma Dr. 

WHEN DOES IT START? 

The official speed dating begins at 6:30, but the doors will open at 5:30 for check-in and happy hour, giving you a chance to sip, shop and mingle. Speed dating will take place from 6:30 - 7:30 and you mommas are welcome to hang out and mingle with your new friends until 8:30. 

CAN I COME ALONE? 

Yes! Yes! Yes!

We developed this event specifically for moms who want to come to events, but don’t want to feel like the “odd mom out.” So that means it will be fairly structured and won’t leave much downtime which can feel awkward if you came on your own. 

• If you want more support, laughter, and friendship in your life, this is for you. 
• Are you tired of scrolling through social media, this is for you. 
• If you sometimes feel anxious about putting yourself out there, this is for you. 

We hope this event will be an opportunity to really connect with other moms in a welcoming environment. We want you to leave feeling filled up and excited to continue developing friendships with these women.

WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY? 

We get it. Small talk can be KILLER.

That’s why we’re turning this into a low-stress game. For the four minutes to spend with each person, we’ll provide prompts and questions to use. This will help avoid the awkward silence that sometimes happens when you first meet someone.

So consider this a super fun game night. As a pair, you’ll pick a card and answer the fun questions.  

Questions like:

• If you had 3 hours of “me time,” how would you spend it?
• What’s the best vacation you’ve taken?
• Which kid do you find the most annoying? :) Kidding...maybe. 
  

With some people, you may not even grab a card. Sometimes, you’ll grab a few. And you are always allowed to say “PASS” if you have no desire to answer the question. No shame in this game.

HOW WILL I RECONNECT WITH THE MOMS I MEET? 

We will provide each guest with cards sharing your basic details. You’ll trade with each mom to avoid the risk of forgetting names. 

WHAT DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE?

• Opportunity to speed date and reconnect with at least 12 moms

CAN I BUY A TICKET THAT NIGHT? 

You can't buy tickets at the door. All tickets must be purchased by Sunday, April 2nd in order to allow us the time we need to prep the event for the best experience possible. 

Tickets are limited to the first 38 women to register.
